My DH and I are inveterate mystery book readers. We love the hard-bitten detectives from Mickey Spillane and James M. Cain, the troubled clue followers in Robert B. Parker's books, and lone vengeance seekers like Jack Reacher and Joe Pike.
When I think of mysteries, Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks" painting always comes to mind, so I printed a copy, placing it right in the center of my journal page. I love the stamp I have of the detective, and wish I could remember where it comes from.
This page went together really fast, after more than an hour and three different printers with not a lot of success. Please ignore the lines in the print, which we just couldn't get rid of.
Thanks for fun challenges. Have a great day.

What a winner of a page for your journal. I love a mystery, too. How cool that you have a detective stamp. You never know when one will come in handy...just like today.

Oh what fun! You covered the challenges in a most clever way! Love the classic Hopper painting , your handwritten notes and the add on bits...the detective man looking into the scene is so brilliant!

I, too, am a BIG fan of mysteries including many you mentioned on your card (right now I can't get enough of all the Scandinavian authors..Henning Mankill, Jo Nesbo, etc). I couldn't figure out a way to incorporate the mystery theme into my card but you did with that wonderful Hopper painting...very creative! It has that detective-film noir look to it. Love it!
