This weeks Free For All Challenge 315 is one that I love. Our hostess, Dawn Mercedes, came up with a wonderful idea for the challenge. Create a card based on a book! And share both card and your favorite book - I love that!
Most of us reach into our memory bank for something that "we" love. I have found myself in the wonderful position of reading to a child once again - our 3 1/2 year old grandson. One book that I read to both our children when they were young was, A Child's Garden of Verses by Robert Louis Stevenson, and illustrated by Tasha Tudor's beautiful watercolor. Children are never to young to be exposed to good literature and music (in my humble opinion she smiles).
So today I share with you my little scalloped oval card which incorporates several MFTstamps sets loosely watercolored in a whimsical style. The two little bunnies are from a set by Wplus9 and colored with Copics. A simple, sweet, springtime card that is reminiscent of childhood poetry and illustrations.
"Up into the cherry tree
Who should climb but little me?
I held the trunk with both my hands
And looked abroad on foreign lands."
And in the words of Dr. Seuss, "Oh the places you'll go!"
Sincerely,
Susie ~

Oh me too, I couldn't live without books. And reading to children is so rewarding. I had...still do!!...this book, and love both your card and the memories it brings back.
