This was actually a difficult challenge for me, because I don't do gray - no gray anything. I like color! If there's any gray cardstock here, it's just a few tiny scraps (buried somewhere). And I don't have any gray ink. So, I used distress inks in pumice stone, iced spruce, milled lavender, weathered wood, and black soot to do wrinkle free distress and get a gray background. I stamped the bamboo in black stazon & then pressed the iced spruce ink on my craft sheet & picked up ink to color with my water brush. The birds are die cut with a very tiny memory box bird die.
Considering that it's gray, I'm actually quite pleased with how it turned out.

Those tiny yellow birds really pop against your stormy grey background. Great use of so many of the "ashy" distress colors.

Pumice Stone is my go-to grey ink. You did a fabulous job combining it with the other colours to create a beautiful grey background... and don't those vivid yellow birds just sing, metaphorically as well as literally. Love your bamboo stamp. Thanks for creating such a gorgeous sample, Melody.
This is gorgeous - every inch! That background is scrumptious and it's time for me to find out what wrinkle-free distress is! It looks like the sun is peeking through in the upper left.
