This is a simplified version of Rose's cool birthday card seen here. I have been asked to do a "humorous enduring" birthday card for an older gentleman (by tomorrow) without knowing anything else about him, 'cept they said he has a big white bushy beard ( rolling eyes here) So anyways, since I have no clue how enduring and humorous go together, I was totally tickled to find all the fun humor filled cards in her gallery and decided that this vintage transportation card had a really good jump start for me. I did switch this to square and remove the lumps and corners but, I think I kept the vintage vibe with a twist of humor. Rose, I hope you like this and enjoy your week! tfl.!

Fun card. I like the bright stripes with the black/white shoes. I can see the masculine inspiration from Rose's card and the humor from the gallery. You had a tough task for a card with an enduring yet humorous sentiment. You handled it well. On the inside, "no one can fill your shoes". Great card. TFS

That is a great match of sentiment and image - perfect - funny, but not too much (sometimes it's hard to know how people react to the 'age' jokes, isn't it?).
