Karen hosted the Color Challenge today that includes using SU Watermelon Wonder, Old Olive, and Lost Lagoon. The "dessert" is to include an oval on a card, as the challenge is titled, "Wonders of the Lost Olives".
This is my card for Karen's challenge. The scene is of squirrels enjoying the park bench (lol), and it's in the shape of an oval. I added a floral image on the top left and bottom right that I embossed with white embossing powder.
I covered the two image stamps with VersaMark and ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder. This was to prevent mixing inks while sponging for the background. I have to say that I'm disappointed with a couple of products I used as the ink I added to the Whisper White card stock edges bled onto the card stock. Then forgetting about the SU ink serving as a base for embossing, I got white embossing powder on the scene while embossing the floral images on the white portion of the card. My mistake. Regardless, enjoy and thanks for looking!

LOL I wouldn't call the itty bitty bit of extra white embossing powder a "mistake" ....it could be snow!! Bev this is terrific and a beautiful way to use the colours.

I like the little bits of white on the main scene - it gives it a special touch. This is gorgeous! I love it and it is going into my faves! Hugz

Oh, Bev, I love this, and if you hadn't pointed out the "bleeding," I wouldn't have noticed it. It works since many of the watercoloring cards don't have perfect edges. I love it and think these bitty squirrels are darling! Great scene! Hugs!
