A birthday card for a friend whose favorite color is purple.
I stamped the background image on mixed media paper and heat embossed with clear ep. I scribbled Spectrum Aqua markers on my craft sheet and applied the color with a very wet brush. I added color to the flowers and berries by coloring straight to the paper with the markers. The panel was die cut and matted with a with white before attaching to the layered card base.
The butterfly base was cut from vellum and the white overlay attached at the body only with double-sided adhesive. I added pearls to the wings and attached it to the card with foam tape, then added the pearl flourish (thanks, Greenie!) for a butterfly trail.
The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed before it was die cut and attached to the card. I used layers of scrap mixed media paper to add dimension.
As always, thanks for looking!
