Today started out great but that didn't last long.
For the 2nd time in 7 years, I decided to join the CC today. In looking through the gallery, I saw a number of creative ways stampers brought the challenge colors to their creations.
I'm not an SU kinda girl, so I substituted today's colors with distress inks. I used girlgeek's floral melon branch so I'm covered with the colors. Thank you, Ms. Audrie for that and this gorgeous Asian image.
From there, everything went downhill quickly. I purchased this 'photo' box thing and spent much of the day trying to figure out how to take photos. In the process, I busted my husband's tripod (even though this 'thing' came with its own inferior tripod). Then I had no idea how to position the day side lights. On and one I could go but I'll spare everyone the sordid details.
Oops, just realized I did use an SU image. Ellen Taylor sent me this Confucius set a few years ago. Maybe I am an SU girl after all.

This is only the second time you've done a color challenge card??!! You have done a MARVELOUS job!!! I love your bg. WOW!! And you sure do have the Asian flare. I also love those little flowers that make me think of cherry blossoms. You should really try the color challenge more often. :>) GREAT job Anne!!

This is gorgeous Anne. I love the watercolor background and your image and flowers. Your flowers just pop. Sorry to hear about your bad day. (I always have to substitute colors too).

Sorry you didn't have a good day, but you did make a lovely card. The watercolored background is gorgeous, and you've arrange all your elements to show it off beautifully. ( I don't do color challenges either; I'm not an SU person, but that's not the problem. I always feel like I'm supposed to use all 3 colors in equal proportion, which is, of course, the recipe for a very unpleasing card.)
