This is for the Featured Stamper challenge to honor Beatrice. Her gallery is filled with beautiful scrapbook pages. I was inspired to make an early Father's Day card featuring a photo of my Father reading to me when I was very young.
My inspiration: Angels by Beatrice at Splitcoaststampers
I liked how Beatrice used a single picture in the upper corner, a cute banner and a large quote in the lower corner. Instead of flowers, I used one scallop circle with a sentiment. I liked the "love" on the photo and used that. Her page appears to have some paper piercing along the edges, so I did a little piercing on the corners. I kept the orange background as it is my Dad's favorite color, but I used different accent colors and changed the girly look to more masculine.
My Dad has always been an avid reader and instilled in me the love of reading. He always took time for me, even if it was a few minutes. He would patiently listen to my troubles and share my joys. I thought the Churchills quote was so appropriate. I cherish this photo and keep it in a frame displayed in my hallway.
Congrats Beatrice for being chosen Featured Stamper. Thank you for sharing your beautiful pages and inspiring our artwork. TFL

What a precious photo. So lucky to preserve it via this beautiful page. Love the banner and the circle framing your journaling. The little piercings in the corners are the perfect touch!

Aww, this is so sweet. Photos are precious. I can see why you love this picture. I like also the different banner colors you used. Goes great with the orange. Nice to still have your Dad with you too.
