I've about given up on getting a decent image of a card! The card base is white, not cream.
My husband recently lost his 95 year old mother, peacefully in her sleep. For the last several years one of his sisters (the only one still in VA) has had "Mom" in her home and she also arranged the funeral, etc. My husband wanted a nice card to thank her for all she did.
The basic card with the butterfly cut out was from the Silhouette store. I increased the card size and adjusted the butterfly a little. Added the sentiment with the Rhapsody Sketch font using a Silhouette glitter sketch pen. Then made several sheets of Brusho papers. Chose the section I liked for the butterfly background and the flower die and spritzed with Perfect Pearls Pewter. Attached the background to the back side of the card front. Then cut a very slightly smaller card in light weight card stock to cover the entire interior. Punched two copies of the flower, embossed, shaped and glued together, added a little bling and done.
I wish the shimmer showed on the butterfly and flower better in the picture. Thanks for looking!
ETA: LOL, glad I looked at the picture. There's a pesky dog hair stuck under my flower. Almost all of my cards include at least one Malinois' hair!

Oh, Hannah, no worries. If you are a Fan Club member, it goes through all by itself. Otherwise, it won't get "moderated" until Monday. So no worries. But I am sorry about your DH's grandmother. No matter the age, it's hard to lose a loved one who means so much. What a beautiful card, and our photos never quite seem to capture all the beauty. But I'm sure this is gorgeous IRL! I hope to see more of your cards again soon! Big hugs!
