I am loving this challenge. This is my 3rd card and I want to make 2 more! I ran out of daylight though. This card actually looks better IRL. I ran out of daylight, so I only took 100 pics trying to get a good one! lol ;) I don't do much stenciling. I am actually just getting into it. I stenciled in gold acrylic paint and then went over it with gold stickles. The back layer was just plain black cs (the other is black shimmer). I just painted a gold border to match the feathers. I talked myself into thinking I could do a good freehand sentiment. I don't write well with regular pen and ink, let alone a brush and paint! All in all I like how this turned out!
Thanks for looking!

A black and gold beauty. Great job on those feathers.

Geni, I had to laugh at your narrative. That is so me. Never enough daylight; I don't know how to use stencils; I can't write to save myself from destruction, but I'll go ahead and write in pen on this card. Despite all those thoughts running through your mind, you managed to create a great card. There's nothing better than black and gold. You've created a dramatic card with this one.

What a dramatic and elegant look this is! I love the bold thick gold against the black! The different textures using paint, stickles, and gems adds to the sparkle. Beautiful card!
