This card is for DS's cheerleading team, which won a national championship last weekend. There's a lot of history that I won't go into, but it was a major win for his program and his team. He is getting a very special card from my "keep forever" stash, but I wanted the girls to know how proud and excited we are for them.
Since this is BIG deal, I wanted a BIG focal. I stamped the image, scanned into Photoshop and erased everything but the dog. I pulled in scanned sentiments and arranged them around the focal, changing the color of the words to red, and adding a drop shadow. I added the sentiment to the focal and printed two copies on medium weight cs.
The first copy is the background; I cut the center from the second copy with a stitched square die and added a bit of color. This was backed with a craft foam piece cut slightly larger than the focal to form a thin mat. The background was attached to a thin mat, as well, before I attached it to the card base.
This was so much fun to make, and the cool thing is I have another background that will make a fun shaker card!
As always, thanks for looking!

Jody, a BIG CONGRATS to your son and his team. These days cheerleading isn't just going "Rah, Rah" and shaking some pompoms. They have to be gymnasts and the formations they do are amazing. Your created a MOST special card to celebrate their most-impressive victory.
