I loved the Folded Skirt card (this week's video) and thought I'd try a Double Skirt on mine. The reverse color doesn't show as well since the pleats are a bit smaller but I liked the result. This is called Nancy for a special Christian friend who just had neck and back surgery. I hope it lifts her spirits!

In case you want to know how I did the pleats:
I used a strip of paper, 3 x 11 inches
I scored it at 1.5, 2, 3, 3.5, 4.5, 5, 6, 6.5, 7.5, 8, 9 and 9.5
Then I made a tick mark at 1.5 at the top on both sides and a tick mark at the bottom at the 5 and 6 fold lines. Then I cut from the 1.5 to the 5 and the 1.5 to the 6 mark. Then just fold it accordion style so the first 1/2 inch fold lines in the center come it to meet at the center. Then follow the other folds on each side the same way. It will be a little wider than you need (depending if you paste it on a layer or the card or a second layer) so you may need to trim the sides. I Hope you have fun with this.!

This is sooooooo nice, unique, and pretty! And thanks so much for sharing the instructions! I was so excited to try this fun fold!
I hope it's okay for me to make two little corrections . . . the scoring measure after 7.5 and 8 inches should be 9 inches in case someone hasn't figured that out. ;-) Pencil or score marks/ticks should be made at the bottom of the 5" and 6" scored lines, and then cuts will be made from those two marks outward (at an angle) to the 1-1/2" measures along the 3" sides of the paper. Clear as mud, huh? It's hard to put into words, but at least we have a gorgeous visual! LOL

Thanks so much Regina. I corrected that error and also added the info I missed the first time. I am just learning how to use this site so mistakes give me a lot of practice. I hope it makes more sense. It took me forever to figure that out (not good with math) but I would have liked wider pleats. But in the end it was okay.
Your card is better than okay, Dream Crafter--it's a fabulous and fun way to use DSP on a project! BTW, I'm not a math whiz, either. I had to apply the idiot method to get it . . . after seeing that the left-to-5" measures worked great, I started from the right edge and worked my way back to the 6" score line, matching the scoring intervals that were used from the left edge to the 5" score line.

I love this! I was going to try the pleated skirt card, but now really want to try this double skirt version. The blues on this card are so pretty too. Thanks Dream Crafter & Regina for working out and providing the details.
