This was fun, but I'm a bit tired of smelling the coffee. I can't believe I just said that. I've had a jar of instant coffee granules for I don't know how long..I was going to make a coffee flavored cheesecake (hasn't happened yet). So I guess I will just keep it in my craft room now!
I started by painting the entire piece of mixed media paper with coffee...I then spritzed with water until I got the look I wanted. Dried with heat gun and embossed image in dark brown ep. Added a bit of brown glitter.

This is beautiful Pam!! I wouldn't have thought to paint the whole page with the coffee - it was a great idea. Your embossed flowers look awesome on there. A gorgeous sepia card!! :>)

Your card turned out beautifully, Pam. Love the QAL against the coffee bg. I can imagine the smell got to you....but better than toxic turpentine ones!! : )
So beautiful!!! I love the rich background! I just walked into my room and it smells of coffee even though it's been hours since I finished my project!

Wonderful card! I love that sentiment and the variation of coffee colors you achieved on this!
