This is my fourth try (second stencil) at today's technique challenge -- dry embossing with stencils. I finally ran it through my Cuttlebug using two pieces of cardboard and a piece of cardstock in addition to the A plate, two B plates, and a rubber shim. And it's still hard to see the embossing! But be assured, it is definitely there. It's also for the CAS challenge of sweet treats (I'm trying, with mixed results, to eat healthy -- thus the apple) and a new Alphabet challenge I found yesterday. A is for Apple!

Oh, I can see it quite clearly, Lois...and it looks great combined with the scribbled die. Thanks for persevering! It's obviously something that seems to give widely varying results. But your embossing looks better than anything I ever managed with those old Fiskars texture plates, even after buying the correct plates to use with them.

I DO see your dry embossing. IMO, this method doesn't give you the depth definition of an EF, but a softer more subtle effect. Love your glossy "healthy" sweet apple.

When I first read your blurb, I thought you said, "with ,iced media, I'm trying to eat healthy." Crack myself up! I can see your dots! Fabulous creation and keep up with the healthy eating!

I can see the embossing, although this technique results in a more subtle look than using a folder - at least it did for me! I really like that scribble die cut behind your bright apple - very cool.
Trying to eat healthy here, too ~ My card has a peach on it today, although I'd rather have a chocolate!

I can see the embossed dots, Lois. I used my Big Shot and had no trouble. Hmmm....... . Love your idea of eating healthy, but alas my DGD brings home sweets from her pastry internship! Love the die cut and that shiny RED apple.
