Another card following in the creative footsteps of our very talented Karen Dunbrook.
I have used embossing folder stamping to create a flow-y watercoloured background. Love this technique! I know it is one of Karen's favourites.
Inked up the inside (raised side) of my embossing folder with ripe persimmon and picked raspberry distress inks, spritzed with water, turned it over and stamped onto my card front. So fun and easy to do!
Stamped and embossed the butterfly in liquid platinum, then coloured it in the same two colours as the background, adding several coats to get deep, saturated colours. Fussy-cut the butterfly and then popped it up on the card front. Heat embossed the sentiment with the same embossing powder and rounded the top corner to give it a little interest.

Loll, nothing you do is easy! It may seem easy but I've had no luck with that technique! It's the added extras you do to your cards to make them so special, like adding dimension to the butterfly. This is SO beautiful and I just love the way your background turned out!

you just nailed that technique, I'm with Nancy, mine never turn out like this. It's your eye for detail, the randomness of the pattern you create and those perfect colours you combine
