I had 2 sources of inspiration for this card- Dolly the insomniac dog who always finds unplanned crafting time for me at 2 am, and my messy coat closet. The dog is self explanatory, but the coat closet needs some clarification. Without a designated craft space (a nice way of saying that I don't have a craft room) I store my craft stuff in the coat closet. It is very crowded in there since other things, like coats, take up way too much space. I was getting something else when a box fell on my head and this butterfly panel landed on my foot. I had made 2 last year, used one and saved this other one. I just used the same colors and sponged and stenciled the 2 bg panels. I never made a gate fold card...so much fun. TFL, Francie

How I just love seeing your use of vibrant colors! This one just leaps out of the gallery, Francie! Love all the texture you achieved by sponging over the image and background! Beautiful!

One of my favorite stamps, and I love the colors. The matching panels on the gate fold look terrific! And I'm so glad you didn't suffer any permanent damage from getting hit on the head!
P.S. - Just in case you want to know, the stamp is from this set - Inkadinkado Mindscapes

Beautiful colours to see on a day that was so dull that I had the car headlights on at 9.30 in the morning going out, and at 3 in the afternoon coming home again. I love the colour gradient across the butterfly panel and those fabulous fantasy flowers. What a special birthday card.

LOL Francie we seriously could be related (the box falling on your head, not Dolly the insomniac dog). I do try and channel my inner-Francie with colours these days, you are a real inspiration my friend. Your colours here look fabulous and I love the layout with the stencilled panels. Gorgeous!!!!
