This is for FS467 and Minnur is our featured artist today. Congratulations Minnur! I had a wonderful time browsing through your unique gallery. I loved all the scenes and store fronts your created. My project was inspired by your Happy Birdies. I instantly thought of the Love Bird die that I have and thought it would be fun to place them on a birdhouse.
A couple of weeks ago my husband and I took a drive about an hour away to visit a craft store in Lakeland, FL and picked up a set of house shaped cards with envelopes. I knew they would be the perfect size to work with the birdhouse die. I cut the birdhouse using cherry wood sheet cardstock, scored it 1/2" all the way across and then used vintage photo ink pad directly on the house to add more color and depth. I hand cut the roof and base using my deckle scissors to add another rustic element. The birdhouse card was pure white so I applied the vintage photo all the way around the border so it would blend in better with the dark wood of the house. Since the wood was dark I made the bird and flowers with bright colors to brighten and they would show up better.
I am a great fan of your blog and your art since the days I began scrapbooking. This is a very big honour for me to be choosen by you.I can't find the words to express my feelings. Thanks and thanks again.
And in your card you catch my favourite style,The Rustic style.

Beautiful, Kittie! The wood siding looks like real wood! Such precious little birds, the elegance of the swirling branch and the sweet flowers - perfect!
