The WT566 challenge is to depict a little piece of our world, where we live. I couldn't believe it but today I actually saw a few California Poppies in bloom - they are not usually out until about Feb or March! Maybe they were just rejoicing for all the rain we've gotten (though we still are in a drought). Anyway, I love my poppy stamps - these are from Rubbernecker. The "California Poppy" stamp is from GinaK Year of Flowers set. I first stamped the outline image with Versafine Onyx Black, then colored on the solid image with 3 different color markers, huffed on the stamp, then stamped.

Harriett super stunning poppies and I love hearing about your corner on the globe. It has been years since I was in California but I sure love going out for a visit. There are some great things to do in California. Thank you for sharing a corner of your globe with us.

Wonderful card. Love the effect of your markers to stamp technique. The thin lines of the stamp are great for your CAS card design. I grew up in California and I remember seeing these poppies everywhere. So pretty! Our family there have been telling us about the drought and their water conservation requirements. We've been glad there's been some rain there. Your card is beautiful. Great job with the challenge!! TFS
