It is my pleasure to be your hostess this week. My challenge colors are Basic Black, Whisper White and Real Red. The dessert option is to use ribbon on your card.
I had the idea for this card percolating in my brain, but I must give credit to Lisa Addesa for giving me the nudge to actually do it, and the idea of stacking up multiple layers to give the heart dimension. You can see a close-up of my card here.
On the first layer, I punched out all the parts that weren't roses or leaves, then painted the hearts and leaves with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. I adhered that layer to a plain heart layer that I cut out by tracing the die. Then I cut 3 additional hearts, spent a while poking out all the bits and pieces, then layered them to create dimension. I used Ranger Multi Medium Matte in a bottle with a tiny tip for my adhesive.
The rest is pretty self-explanatory, the xoxo is a die from Reverse Confetti, Fancy Words, and the ticket shape is a die from Blueprints 14. The black layer and the ticket are popped up on dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

Barbara, I love the layered look here - I think that gives a card such a different look and feel IRL - it really takes the whole card to a new level IMO. Love your design too - such a lovely card!

Barbara this is a delightful card! I loved the close-up view too. Wonderful dimension to this card. Even your X's and O's repeat the design flow of the roses - beautiful! So glad you executed that idea percolating in your brain (she winks).
