I tried Lydia's method of water color - she made it look so easy. My version was a total disaster. I think water colors hate me. So I turned to my comfort zone. I scribbled glue on a sheet of white, set it in the sun to dry (heat gun also). I sprinkled green, blue and yellow Brushos then misted heavily. Dried again, then die cut my creatures and sentiment. Die cut a black frame (Taylored Expressions color block). Assembled and marked the background with blue and green water color pencils, then wet them with a water pen (faux splatter).

Gorgeous luminous colours! I love the black framing around your sea themed die cuts. I like your faux splatter! Mine goes everywhere I don't want it and not where I do. This is one way to control the little beggars! :-) Wonderful card!

You nailed this, Priscilla! The markings and colors on your sea creatures are fabulous, and the framing looks terrific. Your faux splatter technique is definitely worth a try!

Priscilla, I agree, watercoloring LOOKS easy, but it rarely is! The look of your blues and greens is beautiful, so you needn't fret. Love all the sea life you've included in the design of your lovely card.
