This is for the IC526 challenge. Lydia selected the Etsy site The Wildlands for inspiration. Thanks for your tutorial Lydia! I was inspired by this Butterfly Painting.
I cut out the butterfly from a large piece of masking paper and covered the card front with the negative portion. I did wet on wet watercoloring inside the butterfly. For some reason the purple is not showing up but I used purple, blue and mixed a fuscia colored paint. After it was dry I removed the masking paper and then used the same colors to splatter. I added the rhinestones and then saw the plaid background that I had created for a class sitting on my desk so I used that as a trim for more interest. I'll add a sentiment later.

This is such a wonderful, artistic OLC, Harriett - love the colours of your butterfly with the splatters and the strip of plaid just the perfect finish!

Love the crisp butterfly image! Gorgeous colours and the splatters are in just the right places to add the feeling of movement to your butterfly. That plaid piece on the side works really well too! TFS
