A card for the last challenge of the year for the Stamp 2 Spend challenge group. Come and join us next year. We have a lot of fun and chatter on this forum.
The challenge for today was to look back and see which supplies (stamps, dies, tools, etc) were purchased in 2015, but not yet used.
I bought this ODBD stamps set in September and had not used it as of yet. I thought I would heat emboss the image in white and then do some watercolouring. It didn't work out too well, but I used it anyway. I fussy cut around the lacy edges. Punched a lot of little branches and layered them on the white cs base and then mounted the image on dimensionals over the branches. Added the sentiment which is part of the stamp set, and the card was finished. This card will go to one of my co-workers in the nursery Sunday School at our church.

That white embossing is so pretty and really goes well with the soft watercolors. And what a cool idea to use that branch punch to make a fancy border....lovely card!

The way you have used the white embossing for your image and to softly water coloured it is a great idea - it gives the card a soft dreamy look. A great idea to add the branches to create a border around the edge too.

Your creation is gorgeous and I love the soft delicate look you got with your 'new' stamp. The colours you chose emphasize the intricate design even more. Beautiful.
