For VSN challenge featuring Canada, to be inspired by the Canadian flag. I took it literally and used the red and white colours. I stamped the sentiment first in versamark and heat embossed with a powder that said 'white' on the jar, but obviously it wasn't. I managed to find a white one for the dove. When done, I splattered all over with white acrylic paint with a toothbrush. Mounted on a white card base and presto..........done!

Lovely card. I like that dove with the swirls. The toothbrush technique is awesome. I did that in grade school and have completely forgot about it. It looks so delicate on your card, like softly falling snow. The peace sentiment goes great. Great job on the challenge. TFS

Ina, this is really beautiful!! I love the spattered paint over it. I had a similar mishap recently when I thought I was embossing with Iridescent Ice and it turned out to be Heat and Stick - luckily I realised in time to "stick" something before it set. But I think your mishap was a lucky one - it leaves the focus of attention on that lovely dove.

Such a lovely dove! The color of your sentiment worked out just fine after all. You managed to keep the focal on the dove while still having the subtle message there. Bravo! Those splatters add the perfect snowy touch.
