This is my card for Sonja's VSN challenge; we're heading to Nepal. I personally have never been there, but have friends who have lived out there working in the medical field...so I should have been able to find some Nepalese paper or trinket to use as an embellishment, but it was quicker not to try looking!!
I used the colours Sonja mentions as being typical for my flags; I stamped them on white card, added details to the dots and stripes with metallic pens which would act as resist, and then coloured them with Twinkling H2Os.
I use a tiny circle punch to punch notches in the edge of the card - it holds the cording in place where I want it, and also makes it easier to stick the card to the base, I find.
Card front is embossed with the Darice Cloud ef, then I added what are meant to be mountains. Trying to add a snowy cap to the tall one didn't look good, so after removing it I had to sponge them both through a stencil - but I did add a sparkly peak to the tall one with a Sakura stardust pen. Wasn't sure I had time to stitch round the edges so I just doodled a border.

I LOVE IT!. This is so fabulous - flags and the majestic Everest in the background. All the details really pull together with lots of interest for the eye. I am sure these flags will be sending messages of safety, joy, and good will. Thank you for participating in my VSN challenge.

Awesome. Love the banner flags. The mountain is great. The cloud embossing is perfect! So many wonderful elements. This card will bring a smile to someone who needs some encouragement. Dream big! TFS
