I have been wanting to try my hand at a black and gold holiday card ever since I received one in the mail a few years back. Finally! Today is that day!
My leftovers for this card are:
- the stars (they are the center of a snowflake I used on another card)
- the joy die cut (I was able to cut 24 of these from leftover gold foil cardstock from prior projects)
I made 13 of them.
Recipe:
Die cut 2 "joy"s from gold cardstock - layer with glossy accents.
Cut square panel from black Bazzill cardstock and one slightly larger from SU black cardstock. Layer. Stamp and emboss "To Your World." Lay word die down for positioning and then glue the stars - this makes it much easier to get the word placement straight when you have the adhesive on it.
Cut gold foil cardstock slightly smaller than card base. Layer to base. Use foam tape to adhere matted focal panel.
I cannot tell you how much of a difference popping the image layer up on foam tape made on this card. Instantly went from nice to wow!!
