The center piece of this card is very, very thin real wood. I purchased a sheet of it many years ago and kept for for a special project. It is not paper! While running it back and forth through the Cuttlebug to cut the rectangle and then the word LOVE from that piece, I did hear a very loud crack and thought either I broke the Cuttlebug, broke the plates or the wood split. Fortunately none of that happened Since I only had one piece of this special wood sheet, I had to use paper for the inlaid word. The dp that I used for the inlay is the same as what I used on the cardbase but the word is layered with a couple of sheets of cardstock under the paper to bring it up to the wood level. I matted the rectangle with red c.s. leaving the heart open. The thin pegged-board was stamped on Fine Linen, fussy cut, and then layered with a few layers of c.s. I took some teeny white brads and colored them with a dark gray Copic Marker for a rustic look. I punched the pegged-board and inserted the brads. I stamped the sign and embossed it with red e.p., fussy cut it, layered it three times for some heft, punched holes and threaded it with copper cord and let it hang freely from the pegged-board. Anyway, this card was way easier to do than it was to explain (sigh).
Thanks so much for looking!

Cindy, this is adorable, as well as lovely. Love the wood bg and then the Shaker peg board to hang the "you". The real wood piece makes this an even more special card for someone you love.
