More Christmas cards... this one for my son - whose cards ALWAYS have a frog/frogs on them somewhere. If one is good, eight should be stupendous, right?
Using a template that I downloaded from an incredible crafter, Maureen Wong. You can find the templates here: http://mycasestudies.blogspot.com/20...templates.html
She has videos on her YouTube channel showing how to use them.
I used the template to determine how large my circle should be and cut it from watercolor paper. I first stamped the frogs, next the holly, and then the stars. I used Spectrum aquas to color everything and
let it dry completely. I used a CD labeling program on my computer to create the title and cut it and the center circle of the card with SB circle dies.
I created a card base from heavy white cs and by cutting two circles the same size as the card front and tracing the opening onto them, I used a die that cut out slightly larger circles to give me some leeway in lining everything up. One of the circles was scored about 3/4 in. down and attached to the other circle with Simply Defined tape place above the fold. This created the back of the card base. After i attached the stamped and colored piece to the base, I cut a small piece from the bottom of the back flap of the card so that it would stand on its own.
As always, thanks for looking!

I would have lost my patience after stamping 2 frogs and holly. This is just incredable. I love your color choices and the cleaver sentiment. What a unique, creative, amazing card for your son.

Oh my, Jody! This is absolutely one of THE most amazing and creative cards I've seen! It's hilarious, and your son (I assume his name is Bobby) is going to love, love it! I love how beautiful it is with your wonderful coloring, and it sure was a labor of love with all the fussy stamping and color, among other things! Fabulous! Hugs, and hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are enjoy the "big shopping" weekend of the year!
