I seem to be having a lot of love affairs with paper lately. My rubber stamps are getting jealous. But I just can't help myself. I love beautiful things and I've been seeing so many really exquisite papers lately. I'm weak. What can I say? This particular 12x12 inch paper by Reminisce really stole my heart. I've made several cards by gently hacking it up into sections. The strikingly beautiful leaves are only on certain sections of the paper so I had a lot of editing to do. I paired it with my favorite SU paper, Blackberry Bliss because it pulled out some of the darker tones in the design. And I think the orange CS really enriched the orange shades in the leaves. And the whole time I was making these I had this image of Anne Ryan standing behind me tapping her foot and saying, "Get on with it, girl!". Love you Anne....and always will. Thanks for all your encouragement.

Oh, sweet Ellen, I'm with you about loving paper, and this is exquisite! I saw the thumbnail and said to myself "glorious" even before I saw the name! It really is with these flamingly beautiful leaves! And you are right about using Blackberry Bliss; it's perfect, and "Anne" was right when she said "get on with it" about the orange. It's brilliant and so gorgeous! And I do love her dearly too - she's a treasure! Oh, how I love this card, sweet friend! And it truly pops out of the gallery!! Hugs, and Happy Thanksgiving, sweet friend!

I can't believe I've missed two of your cards. Guess when you're not online, you have great propensity to miss certain works of art. Oh wow Ellen, this is so gorgeous. Beautiful intense color on that paper. It's really stunning. you are a lover of all things beautiful, this much I know. You see a paper and envision how you can use it. After hacking this one to pieces, you were still able to create a masterpiece. Isn't it always good to be able to let paper do the work. You've got an eye, girl. Thanks so much for the sweet shout out. You're a doll, Ellen. Hope all is well with you and Ernie. Keeping you and Cheryl Quilts in prayers.

This is eye-poppingly beautiful!!!!! Love the way you dissected your DP to get this perfectly picture of fall leaves....I bet you cringed cutting through the piece hoping that you didn't make a miscut!!! You didn't and it turned out great. And your use of Blackberry Bliss as a framing layer totally rocks! Thanks for sharing this fall beauty.

I do believe I am hoarding a sheet of this wondrous paper myself! You have given me a bit of a kick in the butt to haul it out and create with it! Your card is splendid!
