I had a little just-for-fun time yesterday and made this - not sure how much I like it, but I know who I'm going to send it to.
Image stamped on white card and coloured with Polychromos pencils, I added some Stickles to the flower centre.
The matting layer and base layer both came from my scraps box and it's great to have used them up. The matting layer is a little textured because it had been stencilled using a woodgrain stencil and acrylic texture paste, I just sponged over it heavily with distress ink.
The base might have been stamping with a leaf and then misting - it certainly had been created with a real leaf. I embossed it and sponged over it slightly with inks, heavily all round the edges. Then I added brown acrylic paint for a more defined edge. I wrapped some lace around it, and threaded several strands of gold floss through the edge of the lace. It's finished with some gold Stickles, white Liquid Pearls and sequins, and the flower panel is popped up on foam tape.

This puts the "chic" in shabby chic. Beautiful colors, wonderful mix of textures. What's not to like?
