As it's the first Thursday in November, we have a new hostess over at CCEE Stampers. Frances tells us that it's "Look for Circles" Day, so we were to create a card using circles.
So funny - until I went just now to find it and link to it, I could have sworn that THIS card from Roxie which has been in my Favourites for a long time used squares. From my memory, I thought I was changing it up to circles!!
I used 1/" circles cut from watercolour paper, embossed with a variety of folders and then sponged with distress inks and various luster and metallic rub-ons. They're matted onto black card with gel pen dots, and then on some LOTV Antebellum paper, which was scored in a grid. I added some bling to the grid intersections, and finished it off with a Woodware sentiment.

What a cool idea! I never would have thought to make embossing a focal point like that. And you've gone one better by creating all those color and luster variations with inks and such instead of just using different colored papers. As usual, all the little details are charming - the dots, the bling, the scoring. Beautiful card!

What a great layout, and I love the bits of the embossing folders you used to create the focal images! Very cool technique, and a terrific card! There may be CASE in my gallery one of these days!
