Since my kids are grown & the grandkids aren't around, I chose to honor my mom, showing what she loved. When my girls were little (now aged 38 & 36), my mom sewed almost all their clothing. Nothing gave her more pleasure than picking out patterns, sitting at the machine & seeing her granddaughters in her creations. She made my prom dresses. When somebody offered to make my wedding dress, I said if anyone was making it it would be my mom. Sadly at age 59 she lost her battle with breast cancer in '84. Not a day goes by that I don't miss her. This is as close to sewing stamps that I have. I will probably keep this card along side of last year's card that I dedicated to her.
Thanks for stopping in.

Karen,
An awesome tribute to your mother!! 1984 was the year I lost my mom also but for heart problems! I share in your sadness but glad that you have so many memories of her to also share with us through your wonderful cards!
