This is my card for Gail's HYCCT1521 challenge "Relationships Matter". She asked us to create a card commemorating important relationships in our lives - with parents, spouses, or friends. I chose to honor my mother, who I lost suddenly several years ago.
I had this image pre-colored in my stash, so it was a quick card to put together. I stamped the sentiment and die cut the edges of the focal layer and the black layer. The card front was faced with dot textured paper from Bazzill; it's really not as bright as it looks in the photo. I assembled the rest of the card using Sookwang tape to attach the layers.
Thanks for a beautiful and meaningful challenge, Gail.
As always, thanks for looking!

JodyLynn,
Oh is that border a show stopper!! The black sure highlights the white and pink beautifully!! You added a really soft and stunning image to compliment the border!!
Your card is just gorgeous! I agree that the border is a show stopper and the image is wonderful - love the white highlights. I also really like the sentiment itself and the fonts have such a great look to them. A definite favorite!

This is so eye-catching with the fabulous curvy border accented with black. So sorry for your loss Jody Lynn-whether sudden or expected losing a mom is a difficult challenge. I'm sure someone will love giving this beautiful card to their mother!

We have to have hope our mom's still know what's we're up to in their absence. I have a strong feeling your mom would love to see this beautiful card crafted with memories built on your love for her. Beautiful coloring and design.
