This is my card for Angie's HYCCT challenge -- Tears Can Be a Good Thing. She asked us to use the Wrinkle Free Distress technique, something I've not tried before, on our cards. Unfortunately, kids also get cancer, so my card is for them. The WT challenge was Smart is Cool -- Toni wanted us to use books on our card. Probably the biggest kid (and adult, as well) book series is Harry Potter. I know it's one of my favorites! They've got spell books, potions books, charm books, and (the big one) Defense Against the Dark Arts books!

Love it! Gave me a smile. Your magical background is awesome. The images are great. Love the little wisp of smoke coming from the magician's wand. The star gems are perfect for this design. Very nicely done with both challenges. Thanks for supporting HYCCT.

Gosh, Lois - I find it hard to believe you've never tried that technique before!! Gave you a great background here for your sweet card. We need a magic spell against cancer!
Lois your background is magical!!! What a terrific card!!!! A splendid combination of challenges! I love the Harry Potter books. I was sad when my son started reading them on his own (but of course also very happy because he finally got the hang of reading). Thanks for playing along with my challenge!

Love, love, this. I love Harry Potter. I even have a cupboard under the stairs in my house with Hogwarts painted on the wall. I'll have to look up these digitals.
I love this card, it made me smile. You even have Harry's owl and Harry looks properly confused about his spell. The background is beautiful and fits the scene well.
