I'm on a day off today and was delighted to have time to play along with Angie's Tears Can Be a Good Thing HYCCT challenge.
I love wrinkle-free distress, it has long been a go-to background technique for me. Here I used forest moss, vintage photo and stormy sky.
When it was dry, I stamped the tree from Season of Friendship, and one leafy branch (Memento Rich Cocoa and Bamboo Leaves). Then I added the sentiment and the bird. With a bit of reverse masking I added some music behind the bird and in the corner of the sky, using Stormy Sky. I coloured the bird and drew in some grass with pencils. Embossed the whole panel with TE Raindrops (which look like tears) and added sparkle to some of them. Sponged the edges and added to a green base stamped with a music background stamp.
This makes me think of that lovely hymn: "I trace the rainbow through the rain, and feel the promise is not vain that morn shall tearless be."

Lovely card! The blues and greens are so pretty together, and you've created a wonderful little scene!

Sabrina, this is fabulous! I love your background! I noticed the rain drops right off. I love rain and I love that your background is so cheerful with the rain. Rain doesn't always have to be gloomy. The music behind the bird is a cool touch!!! I am so glad you had the day off today! Thanks for playing along with my challenge!

You have a wonderful imagination, Sabrina, and are able to translate it to paper SO WELL! This is delightful. Great bg, embossing and semi-collage style.

The hint of music on your card is a delight, Sabrina. Your background is gorgeous. I've not seen that embossing folder, but I shall definitely be looking for it now.
