For WT554 - Smart is Cool...
I love books. I have a Kindle. But there is nothing like the smell of new book pages -- or holding the actual book in your hands. Since I got my Kindle, I haven't bought as many books, but I did this past week, when I wanted to take a book on a short trip. For you 80's girls, it's called Ready Player One. Fascinating and full of 80's pop culture - plus a hidden treasure map and adventure. Very different from my usual fare.
Love these stamps. And classics. The sentiment reads: "The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intentions." -- Oscar Wilde
So this is also for Lee's AWESOME Pinkalicious Challenge HYCCT1519.
A PACK of books (it's really a stack, but...) that have been UNPACKed from their stamp set
A SLIP of designer paper underneath my books
A lot of SNIPs at the end of my twill for a fringed edge (cut from a huge COIL)
My brad has a CLASP to hold it on the paper
Oscar Wilde is a literary ICON and I have used a Wilde quote
I have UNLOCKed my creativity for the day and am going to LINK UP my card now. If I had had an OKAPI image, I would have used it, because they are related to giraffes. It would have made me do a happy dance. Like the POLKA! I think I need a SNACK. Wish me LUCK in finding a good one. Maybe a SIP of SONIC tea! My favorite. Thanks for looking, Stamping PALS!

Sounds like you had a fun time with this challenge! Your card is certainly fun to look at. I too love books and have yet to join the electronic age regarding them. Love that quote! Your papers, distressing, piercing, and punching all add to the beauty of this card. I love it!

Such a fun write up! Love the torn notebook page look with the distressing and sponging. I still love "real" books though it is nice to take just a flat tablet along instead of a stack.

Into my favourites, I love this. Great book stamp, gorgeous layout.
I'm holding out on a Kindle, though I'd love one for holidays when real books are so heavy to carry.

Great job on your card and awesome word scramble! I really like the vintage feel of this. Your distressed sentiment panel takes me straight to the library and the wonderful scent of books!
