This is for LoriÂ’s HYCCT challenge to use the ombre technique. By using large post-it notes, I covered my panel only exposing a narrow vertical strip; I sponged and blended a variety of StampinÂ’ Up blue inks to create the light to dark shades. Then I punched butterflies from a paint sample strip, so they also had the ombre effect. I used a coordinating sentiment and added some swirling rhinestones for a little more girly touch. The corners of the panel were rounded and then it was popped up on the card base. Fun card to make. I hope youÂ’re having fun with the daily challenges during HYCCT.

Double ombre! Way to go! This is so pretty!

Beautiful double effect! I love the lightening sky supporting those super butterflies. Your rounded corners go well with the swirling gems. That sentiment is always a winner. Wonderful card!
