Wow! I could look at those illustrations all day! This was my inspiration.
For my Halloween window card, I die cut the Cheery Lynn window out of black card stock, then used my Misti to stamp the owl & branch w/ Memento, color with Copics, then over stamp w/ Versafine. The branch was die cut w/ the matching die & the owl was fussy cut. I had an orange & purple background I made on thin water color paper using Distress Inks & the acrylic block technique & after it dried, I put it in the Misti, stamped the moon w/ Memento, then used a white Prismacolor pencil to add white to the moon & stars. The moon didnÂ’t look as white as I wanted, so I ended up stamping it on a piece of white c/s that I had brushed on some Wink of Stella & fussy cut it to add on top. I added the greeting flag and a bat & pumpkins die cut from the Creepy Wreath set.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups, the inside & Copic colors are on my blog: The Write Stuff

I love the piece you chose, Julie....especially the variety of colors, and the sneaky eyes on that owl. Your window is lovely (I can never get that die to come out well!), and the owl is nifty! I'd be glad to have you in my forest if I could look out your window!!

What a great card, Julie! The orange and purple BG is perfect for your scene and I love the interesting owl and branch image! The window die you used sure is neat, too!

FABULOUS Halloween card, Julie. Your coloring is beautifully done....as always and I like the color palette that you have chosen. Pretty die cut details too.
