For today's TLC from Judy, to use watercolour powders. I had been wanting to try out using bleach with them, which was one of the techniques listed in Dina's tutorial: Watercolour Powders.
I made a start on the housework before I left for work this morning, so as to have more time in the afternoon - and I opened a new bottle of bleach so I knew it was fresh. Love how this turned out, and till do it again for sure.
Brushos on misted watercolour paper - turquoise, leaf green, yellow and a couple of shakes of red. I stamped the feather and embossed it after the paper had dried, and then bleached out all but the centre of the feather. I added a hint of Stickles and a gem to the centre, and matted it on gold mirror card and black.
For the base layer, I stamped Script and embossed it with gold, then added just a slight shake of the same powders after misting very lightly.
To save on layers, I just used a black marker to edge this one, rather than matting it on more black.
Black and image panel are up on foam tape, and I added a gold cording bow to finish it off.

Your card is so lovely! Thanks for sharing all you did as to how you did it also. Your card reminds me of a painting--and one I'd place on my wall in a heartbeat.

Oh, wow! This looks extraordinary! I love the bleached and colored center of your feather image and the multiple narrow mats for that focal image panel. The subtle background you created sets this off perfectly. Into my faves : )
