I stamped some images to colour while we were away camping this summer. The weather was so good that I only actually coloured two - on the day it was too hot to do anything else but sit in the shade!
So I thought I would use this one to make a card for Diane's No Extra Postage challenge.
Using a marker to edge the base and image panel keeps the layers down, and I used punched circles with Glossy Accents (also on the raincoat buttons) instead of brads or gems.
PB image stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with Inktense pencils. I used a silver pen on the raindrops. I used the offcut end of the sentiment label on the left-hand edge of the card.
Plan A was a rainy-day grey base, but I got a tiny smudge of red ink on it from my fingers after edging the punched label, and wouldn't you know it, there wasn't another sheet of grey left.

Adorable! Love all the special touches you put into this card. Your pre-colored image is so sweet. Nice job on the coloring, too. "Friend" is a perfect sayings for these two pals out on a rainy day. The duck is so cute with the flower in his beak for his new friend. I like how you wrapped the tags around the edges. You made your own embellishments to keep them flat and less bulky! Clever! Love the polka-dot paper. For me, rainy day cards and polka-dots just go together. I love this card and it would be so easy to slip into an envelope and send out with no extra postage! Nice job. Thanks for sharing and caring by participating in HYCCT and my challenge.

Super cute card, Sabrina. I love the 2 tabs on either side...I have that punch and never think to use it like this. The browns give your card a very cozy ( like hot chocolate) feel.
