For today's MIX140 HOPE challenge from Dina, which I combined with Teresa's Freestyle Collage challenge for HYCCT.
Sorry I can't remember all the details of the bits I assembled for my collage. The leaves are very shimmery, so I'm pretty sure there are Perfect Pearls on them and probably distress inks. The bird was left from a TLC challenge, cut from a foil baking dish, coloured and embossed with UTEE. The feather is bisters on glossy card, stamped with Four Feathers and cut out - I could have sworn I had more of them. I thought that both the leaves and the feather picked up on the colours in my background which was in the reject box because the circles bled when I tried stencilling with too-wet whatever I used - I think it was Gelatos on a watercoloured background.
After stamping the sentiment from Verve, and grey grass in the foreground, I embossed the panel with TE Raindrops ef, mounted on a white base and added a silver border with a Sakura pen. Plenty of mixed media here!

I'm guessing to get something turn out as nice as this you just waved a magic wand and a lot of things swooshed around and it all fell into place. Beautiful! LOVE the metal bird expecially!

Lovely mixed media card! That bird is wonderful and I really think the stitching sets everything off so perfectly.
I love that you had lots of these things lying to hand. No such thing as a reject - I always figure it just hasn't found its true home yet.

Your sentiment is from one of my fav Emily Dickenson poems. You did an awesome job of bringing the quote to life. The leaves and raindrops look wonderful. Such a pretty card.

I absolutely adore this Sabrina. This also brought a tear to my eye; a dear friend of my mom's brought part of the same poem over to read to my mom the day Mom died.
