For this week's Teapot Tuesday, we are bringing pumpkins to the fall fest.
I think I used this same sort of pumpkin from die-cut ovals last year, but I came across all these orange papers that went together (well, they better as they are from a stack), and I wanted to use them. I also remembered these seasonal definition stamps, and probably spurred by last week's F4A challenge to use type, decided the fall definition was the perfect background for the pumpkin.
The card is embellished with paper piercing, raffia and some little seasonal buttons (and let me tell you, removing the backing on those is a pain -- so if you know a good way to do it, please let me know).

Self-adhesive buttons? I don't usually bother removing the backing if it's really fiddly, I just add my own glue and stick them down. If the backing is that hard to get off, I reckon they're more likely than not to stay stuck.
I like this type of pumpkin (gorgeous papers with those subtle patterns) - and I love your definition background. I thought it was DP at first till I read on through your write-up.

Absolutely wonderfully embellished those buttons are amazing and your punched pumpkin is outstanding too! I just love the raffia. I have just one small piece left in my stash and have not been able to find it again since I got that piece. Super adorable card to bring to the tea party this week.

Cute card! I love the embellishments of the raffia and the buttons. Sometimes I am able to remove the backing (this is on a shank button) using a jewelry tool used for cutting...I'm not a huge jewelry maker but I have a couple of tools and that one seems to work to cut off the back.

Great-looking pumpkin and I LOVE the autumn definition stamp, Sandy! The piercing and fall buttons are nice additions to your card. I bought a button shank remover at Joanns. Two wks later, I saw one in the craft supply aisle at the local $1 store so if you buy one, check the $1 store first. Hee. I use &gclid=CLbJhaDpncgCFZKAaQodjmANzA] these Tim Holtz scissors and if I'm too lazy to get up to get the shank tool, I use the scissors with success. They are serrated and that helps them grip the shank. If there is a slight remaining bump, you can take the blade of the scissor and "shave" it down. Thanks for participating in the challenge today! By the way ... I went on Purple Onion to find the autumn definition stamp cause I'm sure I NEED it ... but I can't find it as a single or in a set. Any info?

I just adore your neat pumpkin, the dif. papers make it look shaded. The lil buttons are a perfect little decoration to add, and they are sooooo cute. Next time I need a pumpkin I know how to make one with die-cuts,,,silly me never thought of that...works out so cool, and now I have ideas how to cut off the little ends too, have not used buttons much because of that bump. lovely fall card and perfect for out super fun party this week...TFS..:0)
