I was trying to get a very shimmery, almost “magical” feel to this card. There are certain snowfalls that are just ethereal and that is what I wanted to capture. (I live in So. Cal. now, but I spent years with an actual winter!)
This card has a lot of sparkle although that may not show up well in the photo. To get the effect of falling snow, I sponged the background in the soft sky then used Versamark and a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge set. I used heat and stick powder and Dazzling Diamonds glitter to make the spots sparkle. This is one of my favorite sets (at least that splotchy stamp); I find all kinds of uses for it!
For the two snow drifts I sponged the edges with the Soft Sky, then added a brush stroke of Cosmic Shimmer across the top edges. Lastly, the top of the girlÂ’s arms, hair and cap are brushed with clear Wink of Stella.
The sentiment, “Warmest Wishes” is heat embossed in light blue. The sequins and rhinestones were added for extra sparkle.
TFL!

Lovely wintry scene with that gorgeous sparkle. I remember a beautiful day like that when we visited friends in MN one Christmas / New Year - it was magical with sparkle in the sky.
