An early challenge post and a day off mean that even though I'm still pretty much in slow motion this week, I managed to get this finished and a daylight photo taken - progress.
Jeanne's MIX138 Falling Leaves challenge was perfect for me to ink up this Shy Bear stamp, which is coloured with pencils, and then layered twice onto white card with the edges smudged with gelatos and the edges swiped with black.
For the base, I used Antique Linen direct to paper to take the whiteness away from it. Then I stamped Greenery twice - once softly in Shabby Shutters, once in Versafine Olympia Green. Then I used gelatos to colour the Maple Leaf backgrounder, misted it with water and stamped that over all the green. The edges were simply darkened with smudged gelatos.
The leaf was cut from white paper and coloured with gelatos after stamping and embossing the sentiment. I used Merlot to sponge round the edges, and a dark grey brush pen for more definition. Then I embossed it and highlighted the embossing with Vintage Photo. It's popped up on foam tape.
I wrapped some dark twine around the card and added buttons. I didn't want the buttons to be quite as bright as they originally were, so the orange and yellow ones are actually stamped with a script stamp in StazOn brown.
And to finish, I took a leaf from Francie's book and added lots of Liquid Pearls in different colours all round the buttons.
So my main mediums are gelatos and Polychromos pencils, but I used several different types of ink and also the Liquid Pearls...

I love this card, Sabrina, but I'm positively drooling over that background and the sentiment leaf! Love the button treatment, and the Perfect Pearls look fantastic!

Your wonderful bow with the buttons and perfect pearls caught my eye right away...fantastic look. I would have to be feeling first rate to make something thus pretty. The large leafe on the bottom is gorgeous enough to be the only thing on a CAS card. The patterns, colors, and different mediums add up to one perfect card.
