Project for stamp class in October, 2015. In the October classes, we do 3 Christmas cards and 3 all occasion cards. This is one of my all occasion cards.
I was able to combine 2 very different challenges into one. The Ways to Use It challenge was to use one's birthstone color. My birthstone happens to be amethyst (February) and amethyst comes in many shades of purple. Therefore, the ombre technique that was part of the Watercooler Wednesday challenge was so timely with this card. If you are interested in Watercooler Wednesday Challenges, check them out here: http://watercoolerchallenges.blogspot.com/
These are terrific challenges each week.
Thanks for looking. Susie

You have a difficult birthstone to depict....or draw colors from, but you did an AMAZING job. I can see some of the colors that one would see in a fine Australian white opal in your bg. Well done!

Very nice hombre and vanilla. My DH's BD is Valentine's Day.......so no purple there, but he looks great in it!! I love that dove!

Hi Susie, what a great combination of stamp sets! Love the way the sentiment compliments that gorgeous bird. The ombre background really makes that fussy-cut bird "pop" Love that you combined all those purples and pinks for the ombre. Great job! Thanks so much for joining us this week for our Watercooler Wednesday challenge.

Gorgeous card, Susie! You always make me say, "Wow!" I love the purples you used. And the image and sentiment just pop out of the background. Beautiful!

Beautiful creation Miss Susie. Thanks for the inspiration for using my own dove stamp that just arrived. Very cool to see it combined with some of my other favorite stamps. My favorite colors too!
Thanks for joining the challenge yet again. You always add a creative outlook for the weeks challenge. Your students are going to love this one!
