Cathy had a clever challenge today: use your birthstone color + a neutral(black in my case) to create a card.
My birth month is August...so it is peridot....a lime/olive green.
Just a side note: Seems like a lot of parents were having a REALLY good time New Year's since there are a lot of September b'days so far in the gallery(early morning). ; )

My MIL's birthstone is peridot and she hates it....I think it's very pretty! Your card is a reflection of your birthstone's beauty...love the Asian theme.
You're right about that sapphire birthstone...lol!

This Asian inspired card is just beautiful, Sallie. I had to laugh at your observation....mea culpa! I have a peridot ring I bought in Arizona, and think of the Southwest every time I wear it. A lovely color, and your card is a tribute to it's beauty!

How lovely, Sallie! I love this shade of green & it makes for a wonderful Asian card.
LOL on the Sept babies....our family is pretty birthday heavy in March & Sept. I keep telling them those months are full so pick another month. Surely they can count, lol.

You are spot on for the peridot color, Sallie! I love how you have used the bamboo and Asian influence for this beautiful card!
I always thought it was all the Christmas and New Year's parties, though my Mom said it was the Carl's Jr. hamburger, fries, and shake my Dad brought home after work! Go figure...!

Another beauty in your birthstone color w/ black - a perfect pairing for an Asian themed card - the bamboo looks great on your gelli plate BG! You are a woman of many faceted talents, Sallie!
