Yeah... tornadoes are my LEAST FAVORITE weather condition. Unlike hurricanes (which I think would be scary to be in), tornadoes don't give you four days warning!
To make this card, I stamped the tornado from Paper Smooches' "Eco-Friendly" set onto a post-it note and cut it out. Then I put the mask down and stamped the burst stamp over it. (This is actually backwards-- it would have been better if I stamped the tornado, put the mask over it, and THEN stamped the burst. But oh well.)
Pinstripe CS from Amuse; raindrop PP from Pink Paislee "Hello Sunshine" collection, burst stamp from American Crafts/Shimelle, thread from Lawn Fawn, gems from Recollections.
I didn't have any silver thread, but I had twine with silver thread in it, so I carefully unwound the thread from the twine!

I'm smiling because your tornado image is "cute" and I'm still smiling because you actually HAVE a tornado image. LOL The sentiment is also making me giggle. For the record, hurricanes aren't really fun either. Oh, the rain and wind...and sitting in the dark without power and headaches because of the barometric pressure... But you're right, at least we get advance warning with a hurricane. But, unlike tornadoes that essentially "come & go", hurricanes can last for DAYS. And, sometimes tornadoes even spring up out of the hurricane. I think tornadoes are definitely scarier though because they pop up out of nowhere and in an instant can cause such devastation.

Oh I can concur, tornadoes do not give any warning. I remember 2 years in a row having tornadoes hitting less than a mile from my home on my birthday. Then this year one hit 2 days before. I am so with you on this season. Super job depicting them in your card.

Super cute card! Now that we've left hurricane country to be back in the Midwest I'm having to deal with tornado warnings which are way more sudden and scary. Youngest DD takes all her favorite belongings with her down to the basement every time we get storms. We've been here for 10years now and it still scares me to pieces....there've been some touchdowns in our area and man that's some major damage instantly!

I don't know where you found a tornado stamp but THIS IS AWESOME! You even have lots of raindrops for the background. You hit this one perfectly and don't think any of us would disagree that a tornado is not something you ever want to experience. Great card for this challenge.

Oh yeah! I think if I lived in a place that had tornadoes that would be my least favorite weather, too. Cute card, though.
