I am hooked on watercolor backgrounds as well as the various techniques to achieve them. For this card, I wiped Lush Lagoon, Blu Raspberry, Orange Fizz, and Orange Zest dye ink on a craft mat then spritzed with water. I wiped up the ink using a piece of watercolor paper and continued to dab the paper onto the ink until I liked the result. I cut out some leaves from Wild Greenery dienamics, rubbing a little Jellybran Green ink along the edges of the larger leaves. I decided to add a small Grapesicle circle element in the background to play off the purple flowers and to offset the blue and orange. Added a few little clear sequins and a googly eye for the bird who was colored with Copic markers and popped up ion dimensionals. TFL :-)

I love that background! I have seen people do the ink on the craft mat thing, but I've never tried it. I think I should! Excellent card! Love the bird.
