I know we are not suppose to upload previously completed cards but...I am away from home now with limited art supplies. I too have been forever changed by the devastating attack on America on Sept 11. I fee compelled to contribute to this gallery. This drawing that I sketched for a veteran is a reminder of the consequences of that attack.
I modified a photograph that I found during a google search but cannot find the original source to acknowledge.
I sketched the drawing in graphite then painted it using T Holtz distress inks. I drew the soldiers and stars with a gel pen. The shading is also done with a gel pen. Bonus points: stripes are painted with distress ink and stars are a gel pen.

What a beautiful card and a lovely tribute to our military!
