My husband and I had a fantastic three week vacation this August traveling across the upper U.S., Canada, and San Juan Archipelago. Then back across traveling eastbound through the National parks (Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, and a visit to Crazy Horse in the Black Hills). What an adventure! We even climbed a glacier in Alberta, Canada, and crossed the head waters of the Mississippi. We can't wait to take our cameras back to some of these beautiful locations.
I purchased a book called, The Art of Travel with a Sketchbook. I love to paint and thought it might be fun to see if I could capture some of my photo's on paper. I still require lots of practice with light and shadow, but oh the fun of practice - she smiles!
As an FYI: We are moving to Charleston, S.C. so in the next weeks I'll be packing up my art supplies - again (smiling). Never a dull moment here! Please keep us in your prayers.

First, huge and heartfelt prayers for a safe move. Second, considering that I thought I would need to be airlifted out of some of the hikes we took when visiting Yellowstone/ Grand Teyons 5 years ago, hats off to you and your husband. Finally, what an AMAZING painting. Throw your stamps away...you are such a fantastic artist. This is such a pretty watercolor. I would buy it at an art show to hang in my house. Faved ten times over.

Oh, Susie, this takes my breath away! I saw this on FB and "liked" it and didn't realize you had posted it here on SCS - yay! I absolutely love the amazing colors and depth you've achieved and am so thankful that God allowed you to take this marvelous trip, have such fun and joy with your friends, and bring you home safely again. Yes, my precious friend, I continue to pray for you as you move once again. God is so good and gracious, and I know He will give you the strength to do this. Tender hugs!
