Well, after 2 attempts at using and embossing foil - that bit went ok - but I adhered to c/s base crookedly both times!!! Gave up, as time is short and I have to go and cook dinner, so I quickly did this very simple card, letting the dp do all the work. I am currently making masculine cards - Father's Day is next weekend - and this can go in the stash. I kept this pretty straight forward as I do find the males in my family don't like fancy cards!!

Nothing wrong with a simple interpretation of the challenge, Sue! What great paper - and with the clips, it's a perfect masculine challenge. And it's lovely to see a card that's so uniquely Australian.

Those masculine cards can be difficult to make.....like your approach of keeping it simple. The touch of gold is perfect for your neat card. Fantastic paper.

You know your "audience"....and delivered wonderfully,Sue. A great masculine card with a message and the two metal clips are perfect. I also like the cork backing as an edging.

Oh I am so sorry your two card foil bases were glued on crooked. I sure hope you might be able to still use them on another card in some way. This is wonderfully done to get a great masculine card. I love the DP, it has a great Australian dictionary feel to it. Thank you for making a card for my Make it Metal challenge!

What a great card from an Australian to the rest of us!! Thank you...I pretty much figured that was what being a mate was but it is good to read it for varification purposes!!LOL!! Not only did I learn the term from you and Susie but also Crockadile Dundee! I love it when he says that he and God be mates!
This is so lovely Sue!! I really love it! I guess lovely is not the word for a guy card but it is lovely to me!

Wow, this is a super cool masculine card. Not a lot of frill, but straight to the point. Great use of the clips. I love the dp's, and the design. Great masculine card. Love it. tfs.
